Listening to Understand

"We have two ears and one mouth

so that we can listen twice as much as we speak."Epictetus

Empathic listening is so powerful because it gives you accurate data with which to work. Instead of projecting your own perspective (your thoughts, feelings, motives, and interpretation), you’re concentrating on what is on another person’s mind and possibly in their heart.

You are listening to understand.

To learn more about yourself, consider an assessment tool.
