Why is Taking Time to Schedule Crucial?

· Goal Setting,Time Management,Work Styles,Results

There are always going to be things for which we could not plan because “life happens” – people get sick, get hurt, or worse. We need to be sure that there are ways to re-prioritize when necessary. Some things we have to attend to immediately, some things can be dealt with later or may be delegated to someone else.

What about our appointments with ourselves? These have to be honored so we can meet timelines. The easiest appointment to skip is the ones we make with ourselves.

The best time to prepare for tomorrow’s schedule is before you leave work today and not first thing in the morning. Review your to-do list the following morning; be sure to write it before you end your workday. Studies have shown that your action items then rest in your subconscious mind as set for action in the future.

“Vitality shows in not only the ability to persist

but the ability to start over.” – F. Scott Fitzgerald
