Whether you are trying to secure your next position or wanting to ensure your greater value to your current employer, consider this list of factors (from “Career Planning and Placement Today”) that will probably knock you OUT of the running………

  1. Lack of proper career planning
  2. Lack of knowledge of field of specialization
  3. Inability to express thoughts clearly and concisely

……and to think that this book was published in the late 1970s. It only proves that as much as things change, many things stay the same. How many can you cross off the list? All, I’m hoping. If not, you now know better on what to work on yourself.
