Hearing, Not Just at the End

· Communication,Self-Improvement

Did you know that the part of our bodies that continues to grow over our lifetimes are our ears? Did you also know that hearing is the very last sense that we experience before dying? This was something I learned from the three years that I worked at a local hospice. So, if you are with a loved one at the very end of life when they are in a coma or just about to pass on, have comfort in knowing that they most likely can still hear you.

Why wait until these final moments to hear what others want to say to us? Why not be sure to hear (and listen) to what they are saying to us each and every day – whether it be your family member, your friend, your co-worker, or people who work for you? Take the time to truly hear them, start today!

“Most of the successful people I’ve known are the ones who do more listening than talking.” - Bernard M. Baruch
