"To manage or to lead', could that be the question? Participants in my training sessions have heard me pose this question. Isn't managing the same as running or controlling where as leading is guiding, showing the way and sometimes going in front and ahead? What would you rather be to the people who need your support? There will always be technology and budgetary issues to get the work done bigger and faster, but your greatest responsibility is in leading your people.

A leader's greatest responsibility is to contribute to the group's success. To develop yourself as a leader, you need to understand how you want to lead, what kinds of leaders you like to follow and determine the aspects of leadership training that are needed by your organization. And how one leads will vary from situation to situation. When one can better understand themselves and the people with whom they are leading, they can reduce conflict, be happier and more productive.

Many people who are in leadership training roles have very little training on how to be successful with other people. Skills can be learned and sharpened to help individuals grow into good leaders. We can explore the needs of your organization, individual strengths and challenges and review your goals for taking your business to the next level.

Leadership Training can take place in cyclical training interventions over the course of time with each session building on lessons learned in previous ones. Or they can take place with coaching where the focus is on the individual. Opportunities would exist to try new things, get objective feedback and grow.
