    President

    Since 1982, Joshua A. Sky has served as a trainer, facilitator, coach, educator and organizational leader. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, he has been living in Southwest Florida since 1995. Combining an M.A. in Education with a B.A. in Sociology, Joshua has served as both an internal trainer and a contract trainer for a wide range of organizations. In addition, Joshua speaks five languages including French and Spanish.

     

    The focus of THE SKY'S THE LIMIT CONSULTING, INC. encompasses Joshua’s philosophy of "Helping Individuals To Reach Their Full Potential".

     

    In 1998, Joshua had the privilege of leading his local professional colleagues as the President of the Southwest Florida Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), now the Association for Talent Development (ATD); he remains a National Member.

     

    Joshua is also a National Member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and is active in two local chapters where he volunteers his energy on several committees and projects. In 2004, Joshua joined HR Collier (Naples) and served as Foundation Chair in 2018. In 2010, he joined SHRM– SWFL, formerly HRMA of Southwest Florida (Fort Myers) and served as Diversity Chair in 2010.

     

    In 2006, Joshua earned the Certified DiSC® Trainer designation from Inscape Publishing. In 2021, he added the Certified Everything DiSC® Trainer designation from Wiley Workplace Learning Solutions (formerly Inscape Publishing).

     

    In 2007, TSTLC was certified as an LGBT Business Enterprise® (LGBTBE) by the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce® (NGLCC). TSTLC regularly re-certifies with the NGLCC with each cycle.

     

    In 2010, he was originally certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). In 2015, Joshua earned a second professional designation in Human Resources as a Senior Certified Professional (the SHRM–SCP). Both credentials require re-certification every three years which he obtains through professional activity and continuing education.

     

    Depending on the size or nature of our client assignments, we partner with other trainers, facilitators, program designers, subject matter experts, or other human resource practitioners and consultants. We are strategically linked to a national network of professional resources.
